Hardcore trance is a hybrid of trance music and the former happy hardcore as well as techno elements. Hardcore focuses largly on hard, fast 4/4 beats with uplifting leads and vocals. BPM range is 160-200 (Bottom line, it's fast paced). Well known DJs and producers include Scott Brown, Hixxy, and Breeze & Styles. Some still call it Happy Hardcore or at times it's refered to Upfront Hardcore and/or it's original birth name Hardcore. Recently a lot of producers like Dougal, Seduction and Gammer are going back to the basic oldskool analog sounds and hoovers creating a unique hybrid of techno and trance.
